First Female Orthodontist in Northwest Louisiana
Dr. Morgan Trahant Lang became the first female orthodontist when she opened Lang Orthodontics in Shreveport in 2012. With aspirations to give back to the community that helped to raise her, Dr. Lang returned back to her hometown of Natchitoches to make orthodontics more accessible and convenient to more families. She is now serving Shreveport, Natchitoches, Benton, and the surrounding areas. From the beginning, Dr. Lang has incorporated mentoring and job shadowing opportunities in hopes of continuing the legacy of females into the orthodontic field. You’re not only getting a great smile, you’re also supporting women in STEM roles today and the future.

Dr. Lang has been recognized for her commitment to our community and has been honored at the 40 Under 40, Small Business of the Year, and the Virginia K. Shehee Woman of the Year Honoree.
From our Superheroes program, to volunteering in schools to educate children on health and nutrition, to charitable giving to amazing organizations doing good work around the globe, Dr. Lang and the team are committed to making a positive impact on the community. When you become a patient at Lang Orthodontics, you become part of the solution to making the world a better place. Now that’s something to Geaux Smile about!
What does “Geaux” mean you may ask?
Here in Lousiana we love traditions and the french influence statewide where the french word for Go is “Geaux.” We like to say “Geaux Smile” because we want you to know that our whole team is here to support and cheer you on throughout your treatment and beyond.
